The place outside logic in a place free from control where the mind throws up some times suddenly, sometimes slowly, through mists of sleep or thought, or dream the new.

This process has to be driven through a source willing to see, feel or do what has to be, to enact shape.

The I LOVE YOU TREE seems to me to capture the essence of ourselves. It is living breathing thing in synchronisity with all the energies of this dimension. The desire to make our mark to be seen, to express to communicate to be close to love, all came together on the bark of a tree.

Knowing that such an ancient  but ever present drive is still alive and well, warms my heart, and you as well I hope.

A force of nature that has many faces.

When I found this tree it had been raining and the marks were made more visible with moisture. How calming to see the effects of rain the elements of nature reacting together along with the universal desire to be seen.
Each of us make marks that are individual to each, our energy finding a way to realise itself, to be seen to be heard.

My latest paintings are from this place, a very abstracted place, not from the surface in view but some place which belongs to the underworld of creativity.

Along with marks, placement is of the utmost importance. This is something I cannot explain, just a feeling that has to be worked with to make for that moment what feels perfect.

Are there other forces working on this with me? Perhaps.
